Jagiellonian University runs best "knowledge of countries and regions" programmes

On Thursday, 9 May 2013, the results of the Higher Education Institutions Ranking for 2013 were announced at a ceremony in the office of Rzeczpospolita newspaper in Warsaw,. The Jagiellonian University has once again topped the ranking list of the best universities in Poland, organized by Rzeczpospolita newspaper and Perspektywy magazine. The JU delegation included the Rector of the Jagiellonian University, Prof. dr hab. med. Wojciech Nowak, JU Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Prof. dr hab. Andrzej Mania, and JU Vice-Rector for Medical College, Prof. dr hab. Piotr Laidler. The JU Faculty of International and Political Studies was represented by the Vice-Dean for Educational Affairs, Dr hab. Andrzej Dudek, prof. UJ. In addition to receiving the highest score in the general ranking, the Jagiellonian University has also taken top places in the rankings that take into account particular fields of study (programme groups). On behalf of the University, Vice-Dean Andrzej Dudek was presented with the award for the best higher education institution in Poland in the programme group: "knowledge of countries and regions".
