Information for first year students

Welcome to the Jagiellonian University and the Faculty of International and Political Studies!

The official opening of the academic year 2014/2015 will take place on 1 October and your classes will start on 2 October (detailed timetable will be provided here in September). All classes will be taught in the centre of Krakow.  The first meeting for all new students with the head of the Programme will also take place on 1 October.

During the first week of October we organize an orientation week for new students which is a significant first step in becoming well acquainted with the Jagiellonian University, and helps you to settle in your new city and it's community. The programme will include introductions to the University, your own faculty, the student facilities and the city of Krakow. You will also meet your colleagues who will be studying IRAS in their second year and the lecturers. Detailed programme of the orientation week will be provided before the end of September.
